Users Should Delete WhatsApp: Telegram Founder
He further said that WhatsApp doesn’t only spying the messages of users but it is consistently being used as a Trojan horse to spy on the non-WhatsApp content of users that includes photos that are save in the gallery of their phones. Founder of rival app Telegram, Pavel Durov, emphasized that people should simply delete it. Recently, we also came across the WhatsApp security vulnerability that provides hackers a cyber-attack vector. That is if someone send you an MP4 file on WhatsApp then you should adopt security measures against downloading it as there are chances that hackers may use a critical vulnerability in the instant messaging app to execute snooping attack on the devices that include both Android and iOS. The Telegram founder added: “Facebook has been part of surveillance programs long before it acquired WhatsApp . It is naive to think the company would change its policies after the acquisition, which has been made even more obvious by the WhatsApp founder’s admission regarding the sale of WhatsApp to Facebook: ‘I sold my users’ privacy’,” Durov sees himself as fighting spy agencies, an underground defender of privacy. He also pointed that WhatsApp founder Brian Acton admitted in 2018, that he sold his users’ privacy when selling to Facebook. According to the Durov’s guess that many people had their devices hacked without their knowledge. It is also important to note that Durov rarely write or post on his channel, he usually writes to announce about the rare change in the product.
